Improving customer experience

CleanAce is a firm that offers luxury drycleaning services and ancillary services. With customers ranging from captains of industries to celebrities and influential figures, constantly pushing customer satisfaction was non-negotiable. With time being the most valuable asset of its frontline customers, being always physically present was a necessary inconvenience, so it set out to make it unnecessary by creating a mobile app that would not just provide a fine pick up and delivery experience but also provide excellent satisfaction. With the absence of a developer on the in-house team the project was contracted to an indian company, and as art director, I was to co-ordinate the provision of assets. Board meetings, backs and forths, weeks and months, finally the first presentation was due. It was totally sub-par. As it was, the indian firm provided 'general' drycleaning digital solutions and clearly didn't take the user experience of the CleanAce type of customer into consideration. The app was only good for a day to day laundry pick up start-up. Having spent a couple of years in the organization, I was fortified with the knowledge of customer experiences in the organzation. And so with beginner knowledge in UI/UX design, I took up the challenge. It was a great one, I must say. in 2 months, I came up with an award winning solution, presenting it to the team and finally to the consultants who fitted it into their development.
