Productive Frequencies
Stimulaer produces sounds that are frequency-tailored to help stimulate productivity in industry-specific professional work environments. BRIEF HISTORY In 2010, Mario Cleff a professional sound designer from Italy, who had just made a career change into colorful world of creative design, began to deeply observe the powerful effect of sound on not just his creative process, but the work process of his colleagues too. At his desk, in the organization where he worked, he would often permit sounds he loved, from classical to rock, to lightly fill the air in the office space and then watched as it influenced the mood of his colleagues comprising UI/UX Designers, Business Development Managers and everything in between. It was there the idea of being able to improve work mood and in turn productivity through sounds was planted. He later went on to work in a couple of fortune 500’s as a successful designer. In 2014, he withdrew from the world of visual design to further in Environmental Sound Design in England, where he later based in. And in 2018, He patnered with British sound therapist, Olivia Winston and German physicist and acoustical engineer, Ben Wagner to bring about the actualization of his idea. In answer to Stimulaer' need for an identity, I have created an identity system that would easily lead the way in this pioneering field. Below is a case study.

The Development of the brand, from the mind map to the mood board and type exploration has led to a combinationmarque design with modified type that references the distinctive shape of an active sound wave. The final design of the type reps a sound wave between 440 Hz - 880Hz, the global tuning frequency for instruments of sound.

Taking centre stage in the combination mark is a simple and iconic representation of the reel of an analog tape recorder. The invention of the magnetic tape recorder represented a quantum leap forward in audio technology, hence the pictorial mark very well bespeaks the innovativeness of the brand. I have placed an ancient celtic spiral at the centre. It is very much like the mind in nature. Every element of the mark form a depiction of the influence of sound on the mind.

As I have shown in my use across various materials, the mark can be used a repeat element to form a pattern, scaled and overlayed on photography as necessary.
